2006... let's reflect:
* got a new job that i was excited about (err, somewhat).
* had a wonderful, mutually caring relationship that challenged me to give and receive and let go... all for love.
* moved, again... though on my own now.
* traveled (un-internationally).
* talked a lot, laughed a lot, cried a lot, worried a lot, hugged a lot, and tried to be patient in my impatient life.
to 2007, i say:
"that, or something better!"... and i'm growing an herb garden. happy 2007 to you; may it be better to you than you wish for.

i've only had a couple days of work, and i'm already starting to get bored with myself... i have done a couple of things, but they've all been very practical: appraised my car to take out that awful ding, tried to book a trip to paris (it's in progress), cleaned the apartment, donated a bunch o' stuff, cleaned the fish tank (i can see pong again!), and ordered short-term health insurance.
seriously, this is ridiculously ho-hum. COME PLAY WITH ME!!!
current mood: quick, before i get into trouble!

peace to you
as the year draws to a close, my prayer for you is that the upcoming one is peaceful, despite the inevitable ups and downs.
as for me, i'm thankful for each one of you, my support group that defines me. thanks for lending an ear or a shoulder to cry on, or a smile or roll of the eyes when i accidentally almost set your house on fire (sorry 'bout that).
happy holidays. be safe, be merry... be prepared for a crazy year ahead!

after 5 years of trying, and a concurrent 1 year of suffering, i resigned from my job yesterday to take a position at ucsd in the alumni office, starting in january. i feel like i'm going 'home', and i'm SO excited to start working with students and, ehem, influencing young(er) minds! i could use the distraction, anyway.
officially, i haven't signed anything other than my resignation letter. and officially, i may be at this job for only a week since next week i have earned holiday pay that i'm hoping, but assuming that they won't, pay me for. and officially i am entertaining ideas of travel and grandeur, so if you know of any foreigners that need a friendly visitor, let me know, i'm on my way!
current mood: my future's so bright...

i speak good
CANCER (June 22-July 22). Be a communicator. The communicators not only create peace, they get all of the best perks and sweetest things in life. Be able and willing to understand what others are afraid to.the relevance of this to my life right now is uncanny. and although it's not my lesson to learn, it's a healthy reminder nevertheless.
